Let me reiterate. What time do decisions release?
Noon. They sent out an email a few days ago
Noon EST?
Yes
I’ve been following this thread, but haven’t posted. My DD is OOS (very large public high school in NC), and Ga Tech is her first choice. We are anxiously awaiting noon tomorrow. Good luck to everyone on this thread! I am trying to trust the process.
Just wondering about my chances of getting in.

Of course I’m only listing positives (and not too in-depth since I’m somewhat short on time) but I’d still like to know any opinions that someone can give me about what I should expect. Thanks!
@emmc1247
looks good, you should be “IN” and good luck!!
Top 10%, 1520, instate, NMSF… you are in.
You could get deferred but eventually in provided that you fill out the additional information request update form.
@therealnemis sorry about that. I didn’t see your question about time. I was just saying TOMORROW!! after someone else had posted 2 more days!
@emmc1247 I ain’t no AO, but if you’re In-State for Ga Tech w/those test scores and very good Class Rank, then I would say you’re a shoo-in.
Having watched this thread in recent years, there will likely be surprises…i’ve seen applicants with 1340s get in and 1540s rejected…unlike many colleges that claim to be holistic, Tech truly is…but that said, higher stats give you more lottery tickets to speak…a better chance of winning admission.
I know this doesn’t influence anything, especially considering the comment above lmao. Just for my peace of mind, could anyone chance me?

The admissions office tweeted they had nearly 20000 applications for early admission. They did visit a couple of Georgia high schools and give them their news early. I highly recommend everyone read the admissions blog before tomorrow. No matter what your portal says at noon, nothing about you as a person is going to change. You are going to get into a great school and have amazing potential whether that school is tech or not. That being said, if you are reading this, this decision is super important to you and I wish you all the best. Hopefully there will be a lot of accepted #gt23 posts on here at 12:01 pm tomorrow.
^ you look great. You have better than a coin flip chance.
One thing going against you is that you are instate for Washington. With a 1500+ GT might defer you to RD to see if you bother to fill out the supplemental forms for regular decision.
@Gagrad19 , did they say how many they accepted out of that 20,000?
No statistics on the tweet at all. They know everyone would be trying to figure out their mathematical probability and drive themselves crazy
So who has looked up how many they accepted last year? Please post so I don’t have to go digging through last year’s thread!
not sure how many applicants last year but 4,380 were accepted EA.
18,124 applications, 4677 accepted
Sorry, i was looking at 2017 data!
