Just sent in my application to Georgia Tech!
Wondering if any one could chance me and also others who applied post your stats to get chanced.
stats:
female
weighed GPA- 3.75 (I know its on the lower side)
SAT- reading- 760 math-630 (I took it in October and waiting for new scores)
AP- World History-2
Took SAT subject test but didn’t score well enough to add them to my application
Dual Enrollment- will graduate with 70 college credit hours and an associates degree

Major applying for: biochemistry
In-state or out of state: in-state

ECs-
Golf Team
FBLA- 1st place in region
Marching Band
Science Club- secretary
Social Committee- president
Volunteer club- done 45 hours of volunteer work with
Beta Club

I attended college full time as a dual enrollment student for my junior year and senior year
I also do undergraduate research.

Senior year course load:
all dual enrollment
-Organic Chemistry I and II
-Principles of Biology I and II

  • American Lit
  • Intro to Psychology
  • US History
  • World Civilizations
  • Directed Studies in Biophysics (undergrad research)

I’m nervous because my GPA and SAT are low.

Remember, GA Tech superscores so that could help you out big time. Great job on all the dual enrollment. That will definitely be seen as a plus. What is your UW GPA? They look more at that + course load.

Being female will help a ton. Research experience will look good.

Also depends on your district. The accept a certain percentage per district

How are districts determined? I know no one else from my school is applying and I’m pretty sure no one else from my county is.

And my school doesn’t have unweighted GPA so I have no clue what is it. and I’m in the top 25% but not sure about the exact rank.

Middle Georgia State University. It isn’t a great college but it was what was available to me. @whatevenislife

UPDATE: Got new SAT scores and made a 690 in math so that brings my total SAT up to 1450. Also I got into Mercer today which is my #2 so if I don’t get in I have a backup.
