Does anyone know if it’s easier to get into Scheller as an OSS undergrad as opposed to majoring in STEM?
My guess would be yes, but it would only work if your HS career is oriented to what you’re planning to major in.
If you are trying to work around the system this route probably won’t allow transfers to the STEM colleges.
Currently, for incoming transfers to liberal arts there is a prohibition on major changes to engineering and CS. I would suspect that a freshman admitted to business would have this restriction as well.
@greymeer I’m not trying to work around the system. I applied as Business Major b/c that’s what I want. I’d also like to get into Georgia Tech. I’m OSS with pretty good stats: 35 ACT, 1560 SAT. I’m just hopeful and trying to see if my chances are better.
Georgia Tech doesnt admit by major, so the acceptance rates dont revolve around the individual colleges on the campus. and Im sorry to say this, but almost every applicant has those stats that u said @SlimJim005 , the admission process is much more holistic than that.
Bummer
@SlimJim005 your stats are above average for admitted students.
@greymeer Thank you.
I can tell you right now a 35 and 1560 are not what every kid has at GT. I’m in-state, which is easier, but still, there are plenty of students I know who attend GT with way lower scores (like mid-1400s and 32s). You have a good chance my dude.
Yeah, I shoudlve worded my answer differently. I was trying to say that as long as ur test scores are in a certain range, they really don’t give you much more support. Tech has stated over and over again that test scores are their lowest base of judgement.
