Georgia Tech Early Admission Help

Just a sophomore here trying to get some advice for early admission. I just took an act and got a 27 on it, I know that won't be sufficient to get in early admission, but what act score will be? Will I need to do well on the SAT too? What gpa should I have to get in early admission? Sorry for asking, it's just that there isn't much info and exactly what stats you need to get in EA.

My son was accepted EA, second round (Nov 1 deadline). He had a 30 math, 29 reading ACT. GPA is the most important factor, and it must be calculated under the GT formula. His GPA was pretty high; nothing less than an A- and 5 AP classes before senior year. Good luck to you.

He’s talking about early admission (admitted at age 16 or 17 before high school graduation) not early notification in your senior year of high school.

OP - the early admission criteria are not well known because so few apply and are accepted. All you can really do is try your best, apply, and hope it works out. Good luck.

I’m currently a junior in high school who have applied for early admission… Results come out today, so I have no single idea if they accepted me or not, but here’s what I did:

I had 2150 SAT (760 M) and 3.95 - almost 4.0 unweighted GPA. I also took 3 APs in sophomore year & I’m taking 5 AP courses right now + Georgia Tech distance calculus 3.

I didn’t submit my ACT score because I took it after I applied, but I got 34, if that’s any help.

The thing is that if you’re applying as early admission, then you’re actually submitting your application in a pool of seniors in their regular decision. So if you have an outstanding achievements during your 2 and 1/2 years of high school, then I am guessing you would qualify for gt.

I’ll post back with my decision after 3 today, so you’ll have at least one look of early admission…
