Georgia Tech For Girls

Is it easier to get into Georgia Tech if you're applying to the liberal arts school? plus if you're a girl cause I know its very male heavy

Major doesn’t really matter. You need to be good. It was male heavy years ago. Not so much anymore. So much more selective now than it used to be.

I understand they don’t look at major when deciding admission

My D got in ED with a 32 ACT and a 3.9 UW GPA

Poor ECs

its still 67% male which I think is pretty male heavy…I don’t know what my GPA is (international student) but I’m doing IB and I’m ranked 2nd in my class (only out of 11 though) hoping for a 34 ACT and quite a bit of leadership in ECs. Chances? I’ll probably apply EA

Historically, this is the best it’s ever been, gender wise. It was 25% women in the '90 freshman class and 29% in the '00 freshman class. They’ve also gone from a freshman class of 1,600 to a freshman class of 2,800 or so. So there are ~2.5 times as many women enrolling in the next freshman class as there was in 1990.
