Which one and why?
I am thinking about transferring but might not
major: mechanical engineering (but mostly undeclared)

You should look on each school's website and see what is offered for engineers. Try to get in touch with engineering students from both schools, as it is unlikely the general CCer will have any specific insight.

You think you can be a little more vague?

Cornell - its a superior college with a brand name. People from Cornell are far more capable than people from Georgia Tech anyway...

^ I would say that but yeah go to Cornell if you can afford it

Definitely Cornell

My engineering seminar professor at Cornell went to GATech. And you should see her resume... damn. It's like 30 pages long, with a ridiculous amount of achievements, awards, research papers, etc.

You should apply to both if you like them equally. Both are good.
