Georgia Tech transfer admission

Hello people, I am currently a freshman student at Purdue University's engineering program. For a few personal reasons of mine, I am seriously contemplating transferring to Georgia Tech beginning Fall 2013. Now, considering that I get a GPA of 3.9 at the end of my first two semesters, what are the chances that I will be accepted into the Georgia Tech Computer Engg program? I rang them up a couple of times and they indicated that their avg. gpa is 3.55, and that I will stand a good chance. Now, I am not making a fancy gpa up, I am confident I will get that GPA because I already did a lot of Physics, Computer Science and Calculus work in my high school. For the first semester, I am getting an A in all the subjects except a B in one 3-credit course which is pulling my GPA down to 3.78. But apparently, that subject is not considered for Georgia Tech transfer admissions.

So, if anyone who has successfully transferred to Tech or has any experience or knowledge of the same, your opinion would be highly favorable. I seriously want to go there if it's possible.

Thank you.
