I realize that Georgia Tech is a better school..much more prestigious.
But I know Georgia Tech's guy to girl ratio's like 30% to 70%.. and I heard the social life at Georgia Tech isn't that great.
Michigan would be better for social life.. but I'm sure there's still some social life out in Georgia Tech.
At first I was between UT and Michigan, but now I'm between Georgia Tech and Michigan..
Please help..thank you.

Georgia Tech is not a much better school and is not much more pestigious than Michigan. Georgia Tech is a peer of Michigan in engineering but that is about it.

Georgia Tech is in Atlanta so I am sure there is social life at Georgia Tech.

Ah, okay. Thank you.
I’m deciding more on Michigan…

Michigan is a lot more prestigious than GeorgiaTech. GeorgiaTech just happens to be better at engineering. -.-

They are both top 10 publics with Michigan edging out GA Tech in the US news rankings
[Top Public Schools | Rankings | Top National Universities | US News](http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-colleges/rankings/national-universities/top-public)

Ann Arbor is supposed to be one of the most awesome college towns in the country. I’ve only been to Madison, WI, which is supposed to be similar and it is soooo great.

Go where you think the best fit is for you. No need to worry about prestige between these two schools.

I would say in overall prestige, Michigan has Tech beat by quite a bit. I live in Atlanta, so I know a lot of people at Tech, and while some of them are “weird”, some are really cool. Many of them have told me that in order to really enjoy your experience you have to join a fraternity/sorority though.

In the end, I really don’t think you’re going to get much better job offers out of Tech than you would at Michigan. And engineer is an engineer, and since they’re both ranked pretty high, I would say go with the one you think you’ll enjoy yourself more at.

I decided to go with Michigan.
Thank you all for your help :)
