Hi everyone! I’ve been searching the internet for any hints on how to calculate a weighted GPA for Georgia Tech but most have not been helpful or have given different information. Could somebody please clear this up? I believe that for an unweighted scale any “A”, may it be an A- or A+ is a 4.0, any “B” is a 3.0 and so on. Any help on this would be great, thanks!
Georgia Tech stopped recalculating applicants’ gpas a couple of years ago. Instead they take your GPA on your transcript and compare it to your school’s profile submitted with your counselor’s report.
My son’s school do not calculate weighted GPA and do not rank. He had a lot of AP and honor courses and got A on all of them. Will this negatively impact his chances?
They look at the student in the framework of their high school. Obviously each college has certain schools that tend to feed their university which they know well. Schools they dont know as well they still have the data on grades, ap classes offered and what not.
