GEOSCI Minicourses workload

I've got 14 credit hours scheduled for Fall and was thinking of adding some GEOSCI mini courses. The thing is I noticed that they are only a few weeks long. So, I was wondering what the workload is like. I was planning to add two for the first half of the semester and 2 for the second half. It'd give me 18 credits overall, but I'd only be doing 16 at any given time. Is this manageable, or is the workload for them too much to fit two of them in with the other 14 credits?

Geosci classes have like no work...

wait

i thought geoscience was a difficult major at michigan

Upper level courses may be difficult, but the lower level/mini courses tend to just be blow-off classes for people to meet natural science requirement.

for the two geosci classes i had, i only went to lecture about 2-3 times max. there's no homework, all the lecture powerpoints were posted online, no attendance because there's so many people, and it's just one final exam at the end with multiple choice. you study a few good hours for that and you're set.

^^^ what he said

I had 5 multiple choice question pop quizzes in mine, with one dropped.

Are the grades curved... or do most people get A's?
