Hmm based on your experiences, is it pretty impossible to get out of waitlist? I'm doing this in my first sem.

Looks impossible.

cut your losses imo.

I’m #8, I don’t think we’ll ever get in :(!

R&C waitlists don’t clear as fast as most classes, the old 10% rule isn’t true for them. Even if it were, that would mean the first two on the waitlist likely get in - number 11 - only if a lucky meteorite strikes the computer handling the waitlist at precisely the right instant, causing a momentary shuffle of your position with some unlucky fool who finds their seat gone and a waitlist number. You have a better chance of being bitten by a radioactive spider and assuming special powers.

yea, don’t count on it. when i took the class, prof only took 3 people off.

It’s more possible for me to get laid tonight than it is for you to get into that class. But then again, the peeps on the waitlist might give up or the gsi may, just may, open some seats; though my gsi didn’t for english R1B. So, maybe I’ll get lucky too?

I forget, something is telling me that for my English R1B class the peeps on the waitlist weren’t ranked. Maybe it was.
