What GEs do I take if i have an undeclared/undecided major?
Is there a list of the courses on UCD’s site?

i'm not exactly sure if it is the same across all of the colleges for which GE's you have to take...do you know which college you are in? (i.e. letters and sciences, agriculture, engineering...)

so for example, college of LS has

Degree Check - Undergraduate Students - College of Letters & Science, UC Davis

click on 'graduation requirement self check'

on the second page, lists the different types of GE's to take.

so, reference this information with the thick general catalog (which can be bought, or looked at online....and you receive this catalog at summer orientation though) UC Davis General Catalog | Home

towards the back of the catalog, you will find a list of all the classes that will fulfill certain types of GE's. within the catalog, you will find all sorts of classes, and under the more basic classes (those numbered 1 or 10, etc) will list if they satisfy a GE and which type.

i'm in college of agriculture and environmental science because i was thinking about majoring in nutrition but i'm kind of changing my mind and i really don't know what i wanna major in >.<

don't worry about not finding something to major in for the first year. it's best to have a good idea of what you want and taking GE's will help you with deciding what job you might like to do in the future.

If you possibly have an early pass, I highly suggest taking NUT 10 (maybe even NUT 11) so that you can begin to see what Nutrition is like.

If there are any other majors that interest you. Try to find a GE class within that major so that you can recieve units that count towards SOMETHING, as opposed to just randomly taking classes like I did.

Other things to note: for instance, if you're planning on going into like science for sure, the chem 2 series may be something to start with as that series is pretty much required for anything.

but when you get your general catalog, take the time to flip through every major and every page. keep some post its handy with classes you want to refer back to. make a list of all kinds of classes that you want to take/sound interesting...this will be very useful when you find that you can't get into any of the classes you want and need to find a class ASAP.

what other majors are you possibly interested in? or are you planning on staying in the college of ag?

i was also thinking about something that's bio related
but since that's an impacted major, it might be harder to get in

at first i wanted to major in business but davis doesn't have this major for undergrads...

Check out Managerial Economics. It is in your school.

The managerial economics major at UC Davis goes beyond the limits of traditional economics and business majors, blending a thorough grounding in economic theory with business knowledge and applications. You will specialize in at least one of three options: managerial economics, which focuses on evaluating, financing and managing business activities; environmental and resource economics, which focuses on issues related to use of resources and environmental quality; or agricultural economics, which focuses on the business aspects of producing and marketing foods and fibers. The real-world focus of this major provides ideal preparation for transition into the business world or to postgraduate business administration programs.
