I got accepted yesterday as a transfer student…I had submitted my app. two weeks ago. Maybe it just depends what you’re applying as (transfer, freshman, international, etc…) Good luck!
@briannakathrynm Congratulations! That must feel great. If you don’t mind me asking, where are you transferring from (and why), and what are your stats?
@YoungOne4 I’m transferring from URI (University of Rhode Island) because I wanted a more research-oriented school and UCONN definitely has that haha. And I’m going into Computer Engineering
I currently have a 3.53 but I had a 3.79 last semester. I’m a sophomore so I’d be a junior in the fall. SAT/ACT weren’t submitted because I have above 60 credits.
@YoungOne4 The first thing I noticed on the portal was that there was a link for “pay enrollment deposit”
My daughter transferred to UConn three years ago (she’s a senior now) and I remember she received her acceptance within a couple of weeks of applying in late December. Her brother, who has applied as a freshman, has had his application in for four months now. I really wish the wait was over for his sake (and we’re still waiting on decisions from another four schools, too). Hopefully soon… Good luck to everyone!
Now the portal has “pay non-refundable room reservation fee.” Is that new? Should have taken a screenshot in the beginning, lol…
@YoungOne4 Yep! It’s new. Does it also say your application is ‘complete’ and
“Please continue to check this page in the upcoming days for the latest information on the status of your application.” And the date they received all your materials has disappeared, right? Just curious, what is your major? My daughter applied for art with a portfolio.
Hi @JerseyMom2022 No, the portal still says “Your application was completed on November 07, 2017. It is important for you to check your application status frequently. Your admission decision will be posted here when it is available.” However, not a fine arts applicant, so maybe there are changes in the works for different majors…
That’s what my daughter’s portal said too before yesterday. Hmmmm…
DS received his acceptance to Fine Arts today! Navy blue envelope with “Welcome to UCONN Nation” on the outside. It was dated 2/2. It was a nice surprise since I thought you had to keep checking the portal. So be on alert for your notifications.
Congratulations!
@magnetnh congratulations to your son! Which Fine Arts program??
My daughter got accepted for fine arts yesterday too. Storrs. Her portal still doesn’t say accepted but she had a beautiful big blue letter in the mail yesterday with an acceptance letter inside. We are out of state. I was just looking at Naviance and realized her stats changed recently because of first semester grades (they get sent automatically by her high school). GPA: 3.77
ACT 30.
@mkm1964 Fine Arts with Graphic Design concentration.
@magnetnh so he is doing the DMD program? Congratulations to your son! Are you in-state or OOS?
Thanks. We are in-state.
