I got the email today saying they have all of my info and it says decisions should be sent on the 15th or something like this... does that mean arrive around the 15th or actually sent of the 15th?

I also got the email - it says they expect to send decisions by then, so I’m assuming decisions will arrive then or a little later.

Yep, email here too.

Why can’t they just post decisions online? Mail takes forever :)

I got the email saying that nothing was missing and then I got an email saying that the email was wrong and that I should call them. Then when I called they said they were closed even though they shouldn’t be because it was during their hours.

@BuddyMcAwesome: I got that email too! It’s good to know I’m not the only one. Common App says they downloaded everything… :(

Same!

They said my missing files were: none.

I laughed at Caltech having a computer error though, kind of ironic.

I’d just ignore it, but I’m thinking about calling them tomorrow (9-5 admissions hours) to double check.

Ray Prado’s blog says
so I’m guessing the only people who got that message were those with missing parts of their applications, and that the error was in the “none,” not in the sending of the email.

hi guys!

i got this message.

Dear XXX,

We have received all the necessary credentials and your application appears to
be complete at this time. If for some reason we should find that we need
additional information, we will contact you.

We expect to send Early Action admissions decisions by December 15th.

Best wishes,

Ray Prado
Director of Admissions

Does this mean that i am missing something? Or is everything ok?

that means you’re good i believe, it’s identical to what i got

and ya… if they have our email address already then why not just email decisions?

trust me, it’s much more exciting to get a fat envelope in the mail.

lol never thought of it that way

so the rumor holds true… fat = good, skinny = bad?

@ HYPhoper:

I got the “missing none” and then “error” emails and called them. They haven’t recieved my SAT scores yet, even though Collegeboard states that they were sent October 27th.

So if you have the “none” message, it’s definitely important to call.

I believe this year you have the option of choosing to have your decision emailed to you. A bunch of things have been set up to be done online.

if i’m not wrong, i think caltech do release its decisions by email and snail mail?
