i dont weather i should get a bike or not since in the winter its so cold but i think a bike is important what do u think?

i dont know wether*

I think the word you’re looking for is whether ;)

I’m planning to get a bike, but I’m used to biking in cold/snow. I’ve heard that they clear some of the trails in Minneapolis anyway.

I’m bringing my racing/road bike down and I’ve heard a few tips about how to handle yourself while riding in the city so I’ll just share them. I hear there is a lot of trouble with bike theft on campus but you should be fine if you have a good sturdy U-lock (not a chain lock or cable lock) and you hook it through the frame, the tire, and a sturdy post. Some people have been known to even cut down small trees in other cities to get at a locked bike so you have to make sure that you find something really legitimate to lock to. Another good idea is to take part of your bike off and carry it with you as you go (such as the seat) so that there is less incentive to steal the bike. I also think if you have one tire locked, you can take the other one off the bike so that you can lock that one too. Minneapolis is supposed to be one of the best cities in the world for biking, with lots of trails and accommodating roads (as long as you’re careful!) If you want to ride at night bring a light and reflectors including a small blinking tail light and a headlight. The better the visibility, the less chance of getting hurt. Finally, wear your helmet. If you’re serious about biking in the city you might as well look like it. It’s college after all so I can assume that you’re not a kid and presumably your brain is the reason you’re here, so you would do well to look after it. Happy riding!

Wethre* get it straight.

This thread over a year old so completely irrelevant.
