I just got accepted into UCLA for computer science major. The problem is that I am getting a C grade in one of my strongly recommended classes, and UCLA said that I have to let them know if I am getting a C, so they reconsider my admission. Can they reject me after I got admitted? If they do, I will have no schools to go to, so what should I do now? I appreciate any advice in advance.
Correct, you will have to notify them. It will be up to admissions to decide if they will rescind your admission. UCLA is is fairly lenient on these matters. If your GPA and major GPA were strong enough and they liked your application, you will be fine, IMO.
What exactly does your provisional contract state?
" Maintain the grade point average and complete the courses and number of units as reported in your application and in any subsequent course updates. You must be in good standing at your last institution of attendance. Also, if you attended another UC campus in regular session prior to enrollment at UCLA, you must have been in good standing when you left that UC campus. Notify our office immediately of any withdrawals, incomplete grades, drop in academic performance (including two or more C grades, any D and/or F grades, and any C grades in major preparatory classes), or other changes to your class schedule. "
This class will be the only C in my major prep courses.
Generally, HSSEAS will only rescind if you get more than 1 C in a major prep course.
I am also looking into majoring in CS at a high UC, may I ask you stats?
