So I literally just came home from taking my AP Calculus BC final exam and I got a really bad grade which pushed my first semester grade down to a C. I guess that’s my grade for the semester unless my teacher decides to curve the test or add in assignments for points. The thing is, I’m a senior who applied to only 4 colleges: San Jose State, UC Davis, UCSD and Cal Poly SLO. I’m so afraid that my chances for 3/4 of those schools have decreased by ALOT. I know that obviously there will be other factors is determining my admission but right now I just want to know how badly this first semester grade will affect me and my chances. PS: It was my first C ever. I’ve always been an A/B student.
See my comment on your other post. One C will not hurt you as long as you maintain good grades in your other classes.
Bring it up with your teacher. One C will not hurt you that much for those colleges as long as everything else is an A or a B.
