My teacher who is really known to the whole college system told me that if i got a C in a class for semester that UC's wont consider me. So I got a C for semester in Journal. Any ideas? I am still only a freshmen in High School

Journalism is an elective. It doesn’t even count in UC GPA.

That said, how did you get a ‘C’ in Journalism?..

Not really sure what this sentence means…

But in any event, the UC schools don’t look at frosh year grades. Check it out yourself; go to the admission page of any UC school and look at their explanation of how they determine who to admit. This is a good exercise for you to do so you understand what they’re looking for.

I missed my Final cause i was sick and couldnt make it up. Oh okay thanks. Whoops I should’ve read it before submitting it

Does anyone know how much it hurts your application if you have a C in a difficult class sophomore year, but still have a good GPA?

C’s are generally bad.

With that said, I got a C in a class sophomore year (which probably wasn’t that difficult) and got into Pomona.
