Getting a 'D' in last semester before transfer.

So here's the story:

In Econ, after the midterm every student received a mid semester grade to see where we are in the class. I got mine and it was 56%, an 'F'. I was surprised and shocked so I went to the professor after class and asked him why. He showed me the assignments that were missing and it was almost half of them. I told him it was a mistake and that I had all turned in all the assignments, got them back with full credit, and had them at home. He told me to bring them next class and I did. I showed him almost 15 papers that all had full credit and he collected them and apologized for the mix-up. He later returned the papers to me the following week and told it was all fixed and that I no longer had an 'F' in the class. This all happened in early April. Now that finals just ended, I was expecting a low 'B' or a high 'C', but was shocked again that I saw a 'D'. I emailed the professor right away again asking why i got a 'D' and he said that I was missing half of my assignments, the same ones that I had re-turned in again after the first mix-up. I told him that they were the ones I turned in and he collected, but he said he doesn't recall that ever happening. And with me thinking that he fixed the grades after he told me he did, I tossed everything away believing in him that it was all graded and recorded. What I am really concerned about now is that he won't budge on changing my grade, because he has no recollection of our conversation ever happening, and even hinted that I was lying. I am really concerned, and even scared, because I am nervous that UC Santa Cruz, the college I have been accepted and am planning to transfer to will rescind my admission due to the one 'D' I got on my transcript. I have never gotten a 'D' in a class in my entire life and my GPA is still at a high 3.6 as it is mostly 'A's' and 'B's'. I am not sure what to do now at this moment as I am just really afraid that UCSC will rescind my offer due to their conditions of having at least a 'C' in my classes. Can anyone please give me some advice what to do as I am starting to panic. I don't want to spend another whole entire year at my community college all because one professor can't remember that I turned in my assignments, twice! Any help is appreciated and thanks for reading.

Call UC Santa Cruz and tell them that you got a D and see what they said. I was going to get a D in Calculus, which is prerequisite for my major, so I called and they said not to worry about it because I already completed the golden four. They said I was a “pre-business” major and that I could take it when I got there.

So pray and call admissions so you can relax. :)

Ok I’ll do that right away. Thanks! And out of curiosity, what’s the golden four?

Golden Four is basically the essentials(Math, english, communication, and something else). I think it might be only used for CSU’s though. What did they say when you called? Im curious now lol

I would go to the dean about that…I had a similar situation and was able to get my prof fired…

My professor would not budge and now I am stuck with a ‘D’ as a final grade. I am so scared now that UCSC will rescind my admission. Any thoughts on what to do or what might happen? PLEASE HELP!

Can a university really rescind your admission even though you’ve already been accepted.? I don’t know quite know how transferring in California, especially to a UC, works.

Just call first thing tomorrow morning! Why worry about this all summer?

I have tried to call. All they tell me to do is email and then they will forward to the next person.
