Getting a D to retake for an A?

Hi, so in Spanish 2A I got a D, so I will be retaking it this summer, hopefully for an A, which should tremendously bring my GPA up. Currently, in Spanish 2B, I have a C (71%). I am positive that I won’t be able to raise it to a B. However, I don’t know whether I should keep working hard and maintain my C, or just take a D, and retake the class for a higher grade. I realize this does sound bad, but I have all A’s in my other classes (with the exception of a B in an AP class), and I know that a C will really drag down my GPA no matter what, and I really want to get into the best situation possible with my Spanish grade. Does anyone have any advice, or have a similar story? Thanks

I think you should retake it.

So just get a D this semester and make it up? I think that’s what I will do. @outlooker

I agree. If you can retake it and get an A or a B, that will look a thousand times better than getting a C.

I think so too. Do you happen to know how the grade will look on the transcript? I know the D won’t be wiped off, but will it say “A-repeated?” or just “A”? If you know, that would be helpful.

Bump… Can anyone answer this question about the transcripts ^^^

Transcripts vary by school. Ask them.

I asked, and they do get replaced. Thanks! @bodangles

Well that’s good! Glad your plan will work out.
