Getting a GED instead of a diploma

<p>I've been playing around with an idea recently, I'm not taking it too seriously mind you, but if I were to get GED instead of sticking around high school and getting a diploma, how would it affect my chances?</p>

<p>Plz elaborate. Are you a high performing student who has almost maxed out your school’s normal offerings so you’re hoping to leave early and start college?</p>
