<p>re-formatting doesn't go through an OS, it goes through the actual computer. The OS you have on the computer does not have any effect on the re-formatting process.</p>
<p>Windows ME is the biggest piece of crap ever, XP and 2000 are okay, Macintosh is really good.</p>
<p>XP beats ME anyday... the only [small] downside to XP would be multiple users.</p>
<p>It's not difficult to build a computer as long as you buy a good motherboard (ABIT, Shuttle etc.). There's instructions that come with almost everything you buy; the hardest part is running the leads from the lights on the front of the case to the motherboard because the labels don't always match up.</p>
<p>Living in Houston makes it easier because it's so humid you don't have to worry about static. :)</p>
<p>dont worry..its dead easy. get an ASUS motherboard for serious quality though.</p>
