<p>My "plan" (nothing is definite of course) is to get an internship in MTL during the summer. Anyone know how that would work along with the fact that I'm American?</p>
<p>Would I need a work permit for that? What if I wanted to get a normal job, what steps go to getting a work permit?</p>
<p>Eh, nevermind. I did some research...basically, in April 2006 Canada conviently passed a law allowing foreign students to work while studying. I can work full time during summer if I want, and part time during the year. You need to have been studying full time for 6 months before you apply, so...the timing should be perfect for if I want a summer job.</p>
