Has anyone here had the multiple-choice portion of an AP exam re-scored before? I'm thinking about having it done and was wondering if it's worth it and whether or not the end result changed your final score on the exam. I was stunned to receive a 2 on my Lit exam. I know my essays were good, so I'm sure it was the multiple choice that got me. I had a large print answer sheet (since I'm visually impaired), so I'm thinking that something may have possibly happened with that in the scoring process. Should I pay the $25 and take a chance for a higher score, or should I forget it?

also.. if u pay a fee you can get your free response booklet.

is it possible your essays were off-topic/not as good as you think?

I was pretty confident with my essays. I covered everything they asked, and I have done very well in all of my English classes and plan to have a career as a writer someday. I highly doubt the essays were the issue when my exam was scored.

If you can spare the $25, go ahead. I don't know if they'll give you credit for the dreaded "off-by-one" error, but that may have happened on the MC.

If your MC section got eaten by the computer or had an "off-by-one", then your score could change a lot. However, if you just had some erasure issues, then your score probably won't improve.

Edit: Anyhow, there was something wrong with your essays. If you did them perfectly, even if you turned in a blank MC section, you would have gotten a 4. Ditto for a 3 if you did them decently (equivalent of getting a C on the essay). To get a 2, your essays would have had to have been subpar, at least in the graders' views.

Has anyone here ever rescored their AP exams and actually had their score increase? Just curious.
