So we have to send just the Duke supplement on CommonApp by Dec. 10, but not the main application nor payments nor transcripts/recs, in order to get an interview?

You have to send either the supplement portion or the Common App by December 10th to qualify for the e-mail. So you can just submit the Duke Supplement (which would be easier, although I sent my Common App for ED). You can send in the transcripts and whatnot later, with your Common App or just send it seperately before the deadlines.
I submitted by the interview date, and still didn’t qualify for one. They are optional though, and you only receive one if there’s an alumni interviewer in the area. :)

Is there statistics about the acceptance rate about those who’ve had an interview and those who didn’t get one?

yes, if you go to * and look at the analytics section of Duke. You might have to make a profile first, I’m not sure. The sample size is also pretty small too iirc, so be wary.

*For some reason I can’t post the url exactly, but it’s www. mychances . net

I am interested in qualifying for an interview, but I have not completed my supplement yet. Is it possible to send just the common app component and send the supplement later, or will the application be locked?

^ lol I thought I was making a new thread, but I guess it kind of fits on this one too. Sorry for invading!

I think you can either submit your Duke Supplement or the Common App portion in order to qualify for an interview. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Either Common App or supplement is fine. And if you submit Common, it does get locked, but you can create alternate versions of your app. So it doesn’t really make a difference.
