Getting antsy!

When I applied to Wake, I was pretty confident about it. As the day of acceptance and rejection letters comes closer, I become increasingly nervous. Anyone else in the same situation?

Anyway, I was getting rather antsy yesterday, so I checked out http://www.wfu.edu/registrar/appolicy.html and figured out that (if I get in) I already have 14 hours done from AP tests. So... whoo.

What do you guys do when you get antsy?

try listening to the grateful dead. it calms you down.

sorry i'm not much help since i applied early decision to avoid being antsy. good luck. don't worry too much. i'm sure you've done everything you can to get in.

18 credit hours for me already!

Only 24 more days! :)

When do we hear from Scholarships?

I applied for Presidential Scholarship for music, and I got a letter about a week ago saying that I wasn't a finalist. Also, I heard that they already had interviews for Reynolds/Carswell back in the beginning of February, but that could be a rumor.

I'm sorry to hear that, laurenhe! Were you surprised to be getting a letter from Wake in the mail, or were you expecting one at about that time? Because I would have been freaking out nervously just after seeing the envelope.

Oh my gosh I am getting so antsy!! When descisions come out I'll be on Spring Break;I have to wait even longer to find out. :( Dtown-I don't know if partying is your thing but thats what I've been doing lately...and hanging out with my friends.

did everyone ever get a confirmation letter?

dtown - I was expecting a letter, actually, because I had some friends who had applied for Presidential and they had gotten their letters a day before I got mine. It was kind of a relief though, because Wake isn't my first choice school, and if i had gotten any kind of scholarship money, I would hate to have to turn it down. Plus, it would complicate my decision a LOT.

One of my friends already found out she got the Poteat the other day...and she went up for an interview. So are there ANY other scholarships really, that we can get that haven't already been announced? lol.

I doubt they've announced the Wake Forest National Merit Scholars, actually, so that's something. I guess. ;) I'd like to get my hands on that, but I don't see that happening. And yeah, GArunnergirl, next week is spring break so there will definitely be partying to get my mind of off this ish.

I also think the actual merit scholarships (other than the Reynolds etc.) have yet to be announced.

I e-mailed Elizabeth Coggins (the WFU scholarship counselor) a couple weeks ago about scholarships and received this response:

The overwhelming majority of our money is still available, and we will notify the winners around the same time you hear of your admissions decision (unless you applied ED and have heard already).

There are many scholarships left, thankfully. The $750 NM scholarship doesn't go very far... :)

Ahh...you are my hero.

And mine. And yeah, the NM scholarship isn't much, but I'd like to say I won something. ;)

i live in chester springs what up

its about two weeks till we hear!!!!

How does Wake Notify applicants? Mail, email, pigeons? Anyone know?

the clearinghouse prizemobile will show up at your door...haha I wish. I'm pretty sure it's by mail. The two ED people I know were notified first by mail.

I think they do it by owls, lol...

In all seriousness, I think they notify applicants via mail...in only two weeks!

P.S. If they do send them by owl, do rejects get Howlers? :)
