So I got accepted into the pharmD program at St. John's and being near the city is a big factor for where I want to go to school. I'm going to go visit soon, but I was just wondering how long it takes to get into Manhattan using public transportation. Is it easy to go on a regular basis? How often do students usually leave campus to go to the city?
Thanks!

It’s about an hour bus ride, probably 30 min car ride to midtown Manhattan. I don’t go to St. John’s so I don’t know how often people go to the city but it is fairly easy to get there so I’m assuming people go often enough.

depends, depends, depends, From where? time of day? bus or subway? The bus will be a lot longer but it’s a good way to see the city and get your bearings. Also after 10pm open the wallet and take a taxi. At that time of night, stay out of the subway at least until you get the vibe of the city, down. Before 10 the subway should be fine as long as you know the stops.
