Does Bucknell provide a free transportation to a shopping mall? Suppose you need to buy something? Can you get to the Walmart? How often does the university plan activities outside of the campus? Can students get to DC/NY/Phil? Thanks for your help.

the university provides free transportation to the susquehanna valley mall (admittedly not great) and walmart on fridays and saturdays. if i remember correctly there are more frequent trips to walmart at the beginning of each semester, including the ever-popular midnight trips during orientation. they get a bit crazy.

as far as getting well outside the bucknell bubble, ace (activities and campus events?) sponsors a trip somewhere most weekends. destinations include the cities you mentioned as well as the king of prussia mall (not quite philly, but would work for visiting), the camelback ski resort, hershey amusement park, et cetera. in addition i went to boston, new york and dc numerous times each year with different classes and clubs on campus. the university ride board is a great option for getting off campus as well, and works wonderfully for those destinations if getting somewhere (and back) on a specific weekend isnt mandatory.

the university provides shuttle services to and from jfk and harrisburg airport during breaks, as well.
