Getting A's and B's in college

i dunno for fact that they have grade inflation, but i think Emory doesn't have grade deflation. Students earn what they deserved.

Private schools are more likely to have grade inflation I guess...since they're actually accountable to someone...like the students' parents, unlike public schools that are accountable to no one but the state.

The top publics are notorious for harsh curves and grade deflation e.g. Berkeley.

It depends on what school you go to and what classes you're taking. Remember, alot of colleges are based on the B+,B-,A-,A+ system meaning there's a huge difference between a B+ and a B- which can effect your GPA. It's not impossible to get A's and B's you can do it ;)

It's easier at UGA, I hear. They don't care much about grades up there. GSU doesn't either, but they really have any reason to make themselves look good. Barely anyone knows a GSU that isn't Georgia Southern exists.

There is also the High School

Get Bs-don't do your work and be smart.

Or for some classes:

Get As-dont do your work and be smart.

Only for PE and the slacker classes :(

Is UT@Austin grade inflated?

At either UGA or Ga State, it really isn't difficult at all to get As. My friends tell me their work and it's kind of funny.. I even sat in on a few classes and they kind of reminded me of early high school. You shouldn't have any trouble if you put a smidge of work in.

I go to a private school in the Boston area and worked my BUTT off to barely get straight Bs my first semester, which is something I never experienced. This semester I'm taking all upperclass seminar classes as the only freshman, so it's still rough going but I know what to expect so I'm set. First semester will always be bad, and it gets better from there.
