<p>I know that many other factors besides grades are taken into account in the college admissions process. However, I am curious about something - does anyone know how many "Bs" as final gradesare too many for an elite college? Now, I know there are no quotas or cutoffs or anything, but I was just wondering.</p>

<p>It seems as if you’ve answered your own question already. There are no official cutoffs because each high school’s rigor varies (it could be easier to achieve a 4.0 UW GPA at one school than at another). That said, a < ~3.6 UW GPA is considered low by most for elite colleges except at the most challenging high schools.</p>
