What do you do when you've starting to feel burnt out?

did you have spring break yet?

Yes but I had to work the whole time. I'm just so tired of school work and I can't seem to force myself to do it.

i feel that way sometime.

i think going to school fulltime and working burnt me out, thats the reason why i only work on non school seasons

or i go eat some nutella

Make a way to take a break, even if it's just walking around the block for a few minutes to stop thinking about work. You'll feel better and be more productive afterwards.

When I feel like that, my inclination is to force myself to keep working. But the work goes very slowly.

What I've found (although it's really hard to believe it in the minute) is that if I stop, take a break, get some sleep, or whatever, and come back to the work the next day, I'm more productive. I can usually make up the work that I would have done the previous day, do the work for that day, and feel better.

So I'd suggest that you go somewhere and get away from everything, but just for a day.

You have to take a day off, period. Put your **** aside and just take a day for yourself. Everyone gets burnt sometimes, especially this time of year.

Do something fun for a few hours or part of a day. Go see a movie or a show or a sporting event. Just do something that you truly enjoy. If you are working more than 10 or 15 hours during the school year, that may be why you feel this way. Assuming you are on the semester system, you need to find a way to get through the next couple weeks. Don't just trudge through, set goals and finish strongly.

Expanding on that, I like to set goals that are small, but numerous, rather than few and unmanageable. I just feel better and am more motivated when I complete something, even if it's just one problem in a problem set, or one idea in a paper. Small steps!

I feel exactly the same way. Seniorities but I'm not quite a senior yet.

Definitely do this.

And get a full night's sleep... consistently.

my progress report: B-, D-, F, F, F, F

hahaha.

Glad to see I'm not alone, my grades are awful this semester. I just don't have the care.

Are you SERIOUS? Work this hard and then mess it all up? I was mad because I got 3 B+s...

Just think it will all be over in two weeks...Freedom from the endless papers and tests for three whole months!!! How I wish I went to a University where my performance was not being continuously evaluated. That would truly be nice.
