Getting Class

So I just attended preview, and unfortunately had the latest appointment time to pick classes…I declared myself as a psychology major, but was unable to get psy2012 (general psych). I know this class is popular being that it is a gen ed, but I was really hoping to get it as I can’t take any other psychology courses until I take this class. I know there is the drop/add week, but my time isn’t until 4:30 on August 3rd. Any advice on how I would be able to get this class or my chances of getting this class would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, I really wouldn’t worry about it. For now, fill up your schedule with other Gen-eds that will be useful later. Many people take PSY 2012 thinking it will be extremely easy, so a lot of freshmen end up dropping the class. Just go on ISIS throughout summer to check if someone has dropped the course. If you still can’t get it, go on ISIS during drop/add and you will be able to get into the class. Another possibility is contacting the college (Liberal Arts and Sciences) and asking them to place you in the class, but that should be your absolute last resource.
