Right now, no matter how hard I try, my CR scores are stuck in the low to mid 700s. Every once in a blue moon I'll squeeze out something 760+, but that's mostly when my guessing ends up being correct. I rarely miss any sentence completion problems, so I'm assuming my vocabulary is all right.

I'm going to take the SAT next October; is there anything I can do over the summer that will get my CR to an 800?

Thanks!

Hmm, I got my CR score to 800 on my last practice test from 750 ish just by practicing a lot. After a while, you start to think the “right” way.

you have all summer?

Read A LOT. It worked for me.

Extensive reading, as mentioned above, in addition to regular practice, should do the trick. Most of it has to do with learning how to decipher what they’re asking, not on whether or not you are capable of comprehending the material.

Wooo.I got a poor 600 in CR ,but I got a 800 in math :)

Yeah, my Math and Writing are hovering around 800. Its just that pesky CR section that’s holding me back!

Thanks for the advice guys!
