Getting credit for 3's (AP)

<p>Forgive me if this is a stupid question.</p>

<p>One of my friends told me that Berkeley only accepts 4/5 on the English Language exam for credit. I know that UCs accept 3s, but does it depend on the AP exam? the UC? </p>

<p>yes, you get credit for it.
If you get a 3 or above, you will get credit for your exam.</p>

<p>However, using your AP credit to get exempt from certain classes is a different story. Every college has their own policies regarding that. (ie. skipping calculus II if you pass calc BC)</p>

<p>At Berkeley, getting a 3 on AP English Language will give you credit, but you will still have to take certain reading/comp classes. but a 4 or 5 will waive a semester of reading/comp.</p>
