Does UT decline a lot of people after they have been accepted because their grades drop in the second semester of their senior year in high school? Would they decline someone who had all high As first semester of senior year and his grades dropped to all low As and 2 high Bs?

They would only decline if your grades drop to Ds and Fs.

Hahahahahahahaaha

/agrees with foxshox

commences laughter

haha don’t worry john. UT would ACCEPT someone with low A’s and high B’s

Not if they went to my school…

This questions prompts me to ask, did you really get into UT? Questions are as important as answers and I know you’re just be cautious by asking, but stupid questions do exist…and this is one of them

No, it’s a completely legitimate question. Kids grades drop all the time senior year second semester, and some schools will withdraw admission if the student’s performance was not up to par.

The kid’s overreacting a little bit, but it’s a perfectly fine question and something I’d want to ask sooner rather than later. Cut 'em a little slack.

But the answer is no, as long as you graduate from high school. If you don’t graduate, they will revoke admission. Otherwise, you will be fine. UT doesn’t even require you to send senior year grades, just proof of graduation–they really don’t care.

No, they require a final transcript.

I’m doing A level as a pre-university course…and the second half of my results, the A2, will only be released late July. I did mention this problem to the admissions office when applying to UT but my UT status check says a final transcript is still required.

I’m not able to send a forecast, so really, will anything happen if i shh about it and just send proof of graduation? I’m sure ‘theloneranger’ is speaking from exp. but i’d just like to double check.

I don’t know about foreign students, but I know for a fact that my high school’s counselor does not release students’ final grades to UT and every student has been fine.

As you aren’t coming from an American system I would contact UT directly. I don’t think they are going to reject you if your A-levels aren’t up to standard because it’s a higher qualification and not the standard for graduation.

Honestly, I am confident proof of graduation is really what they need. “A level” test results are more like U.S. students’ AP test scores - not needed for admission.

yes. if you do well in A Level, you can place out some freshman year classes, and maybe sophomore. And if you are accepted, you are accepted.

fyi-- on my son’s application status page it states that a final transcript is required.

Yes, and if that final transcript does not have final grades on it they don’t have a problem with it.

That makes sense, but mine will have final grades :[
