I thought that it is easy to get accepted from ED1 or ED2.
But if some students who are not accepted at ED get accepted at RD, does that mean that it is actually easier to get accepted from RD?
I am so confused because i am superfoolish guy. Help!

The ED applicant may be at the margin of admit/deny, so the school defers until seeing what the RD applicant pool is like.

Most schools would like applicants to believe that applying ED makes it easier to be admitted, but they tend not to be very specific. It likely does help for schools that consider “level of applicant’s interest” (ED is the strongest expression of applicant’s interest that there is in college admissions), although it does not necessarily help at other schools.
