Getting from Brown to Yale

My son would like to attend admitted student days at Brown (April 11 & 12) and then Yale (April 13 & 14). Any advice on getting from one campus to another? He will also need somewhere to stay the night of the 12th. He’s 17 and traveling by himself. I’m posting in both Brown and Yale forums. Any advice appreciated!

That’s an easy ride on an Amtrak train – they run every hour or two. Amtrak is fantastic and under-appreciated by the world. Just don’t expect it to be on time, necessarily :-)

wonderful, thanks!

For somewhere to stay, I’d have him ask his ADOCH host if he could stay an extra night. I’m sure the host won’t mind! Otherwise, there are cheap but decent hotels near the Providence train station and Brown.

There are no “cheap” hotels downtown or near Brown.

Ok, I exaggerated with cheap. Decently priced.

If your son can’t find someone to host him for an extra night - there is a hotel right on campus on the top floor of one of the dorms that’s reasonably priced. It’s called the Saunders Inn at Brown.

Though it’s probably fully booked for ADOCH.
