Getting Haircuts

I know this seems like a pretty strange topic.

I will be going out of state to attend ASU in the Fall.

My hair grows pretty fast and I like to have my hair a certain style - like every other person. Would my best bet be to find a barber in the city? I know Phoenix is a large city and I shouldn't have trouble finding one.

Stupid question, but do some schools have their own barbers or hair cutters? Just always been a topic I've wondered about.

Please and thanks.

I don’t think most schools have their own haircutters, but I could be wrong :P

I would suggest finding one (unless you’re stubborn like I am and only like one specific person…). Your best bet is to find a person in the city - try asking people with good hair where they go - and then bring in some pictures of the style you like.

Some schools have barber shops/hair salons and even if they don’t, there should be plenty of places around town. If you can work it so that you are home when you need a haircut, you could just stay with the same person. If you do get your hair cut in Phoenix or any other city, look around at the different places. Many have student or new client specials.

my school has a barber shop/salon on campus… i cut hair myself though

I wait til I go home for breaks to get my hair cut. If you can’t do that you will have to find someone where you go.

Hey, it couldn’t hurt changing up your style once in a while. Most guys have the same haircut for what, pretty much 10 years, or their entire lifetime? Just a thought heh

i cut my own hair and i do a damn good job. i see some other people and i laugh at how bad a job their barber did.

Notre Dame does, so I’m sure other bigger schools do too. Maybe ones in more urban locations not so much

ASU doesn’t have it’s own barber. Being from Phoenix, I could easily tell you tons of places to go to, and to avoid.
But I would recommend utilizing breaks to visit home and get your hair cut if you’re not from around here.
