Getting help, bad grades, etc

Hello I was wondering if anyone can give me advice. This year during school has been the hardest for me (I’m a sophomore.) I’m failing my math and chemistry class. First semester I had a personal issue and I ended up getting C’s. My math teacher doesn’t teach. He writes notes exactly from the book on the board and has kids answer it. I don’t know what I did to him but he refuses to help me. I do study from the textbook but the textbook does not provide enough help for me. Now, this semester, I’ve been studying for both subjects really hard, but no matter what I do I can’t bring my grades up. I have tutors for both subjects now, I go through every textbook chapter, notes, compare answers with kids. I have gone to my math teacher for help multiple times and he turned me down by making an excuse. Recently I’ve been really sick and missed three lessons. I asked him to show me how to do it but he ended up leaving me to another kid to teach me. Chemistry no matter how I study I can’t bring it up and i don’t know what to do now. I’m scared and growing desperate. It might sound really stupid but I really want help. Any advice?

Does your school have multiple teachers for math? Usually, high schools have more than 1 teacher teaching the same subject. Maybe you could ask another teacher for help, on the basis that your teacher doesn’t teach? The best thing that I think you could do for Chemistry is to ask your teacher for help. Most teachers like to see students trying  . If not, try your best to excel in your other classes, and remember to always do your homework! Good luck :frowning:

@cc0823 thanks. We do have another teacher but from rumors ive heard they’re equally as bad unfortunately. Thank you for the help
