Getting in from the Waitlist for Econ 100A????

<p>I was position 59 on the Waitlist about 3 weeks ago, and now I'm position 49.
I really need to take this class to declare Econ major.
What are my chances of getting into this class?
Do a lot of ppl drop Econ 100A??
BTW the class limit is 420.
Also, how can I know where I'm in my discussion section?</p>
