I am a high school senior waiting to hear back about my application to PSU's nursing program. Can anyone give me information about how selective/competitive it is or average stats? Anything?

Here are some of my stats:

SAT: 2090
ACT: 31
GPA: 3.8W
Rank: N/A
School: Private/Catholic
Out of State
NY
17 total AP/Honors classes
ECs:
School Band, Stage Crew, NHS, Varsity Soccer, Junior Volunteer at Hospital, part time job
Submitted my app early September

Also, I've heard nursing students don't hear back until late January. Is this true for all nursing students?

I would like to know the same thing. I have similar stats as yours (OOS, 31 ACT, 3.98W GPA, 20+ AP/Honors classes) and am waiting to hear back from the nursing program, as well. From what I have researched online, my stats will be on the low end (at least my GPA) to what they normally accept for UP Nursing, but I figured I would give it a shot, as it’s a great school and I have family in the area. Where did you hear that they release decisions the end of January?

Also, I applied to seven different schools (for nursing or pre-nursing) and have heard back from all of them, except for Penn State.

Didn’t hear from anywhere official, but I’ve seen it mentioned on threads about the topic from a year or two ago. It seems like all nursing decisions are released at the same time and they definitely take their time releasing them.
