Getting in with a 650 math SAT?

As I said in my post about interviews, I'm applying to Rice ED. I have a 2170 SAT, with 760s for both critical reading and writing, but only a 650 for math. I'm applying to the school of social sciences, and I was wondering if my lower math score would seriously jeopardize my chances?

it depends on the rest of your application. A 650 will not automatically disqualify you from admission.

If the rest of your application is stellar, you still have a good chance of getting in.

Out of curiosity, have you taken the ACT?

I don’t think your score will prevent you from getting into Rice. Just make sure to impress with the rest of your application~

This is a great university I hope you can join us

I’ve taken the ACT, but I don’t think a composite of 30 is as impressive as a 2170. I’ll go ahead and hope for the best :)

Thank you so much!
