Aiming for: UPenn, Columbia, Emory, Johns Hopkins, Georgetown, Duke, UFlorida, UMiami

I know the Ivies are a real stretch but I'm retaking the SATs and ACTs. What about the other ones? Any other college suggestions? Thanks!

You need to completely understand this, the ivies will be an EXTREME stretch. This year, kids in my school got their hearts broken by the ivies / big 15. Our top 5 all got rejected / wait-listed by all the ivies they applied to this year and I go to a competitive private catholic high school. You need to have more backups / safeties even if you can get those SAT’s up.

Other colleges really depend on your interests. Some I would strongly advise applying to would be UMich, UVA, UCLA, UCB, BC, etc. These are top-notch schools worthy of an application.

The Ivies treated my public school well about 50 kids got accepted. And a decent amount from the other high school in our district.

Also, Tulane, Boston University and Wake Forest. Best of luck!
