Getting in

UVA is my dream school and it has been for years. I need to know what I need to add to my resume and even classes that would look better. I hope that I can get in but if you don't think I can get in, I would like to know that too.

OK so I'm a sophomore at a NOVA school so I have an instate advantage.
Weighted GPA:
8th Grade (from honors algebra): 4.2
Freshman: 4.0
Sophomore Year (most likely): 4.1

I have taken all honors classes since 8th grade. This year I'm taking honors Algebra 2 and AP World History. Next year I will be taking AP US History, AP Economics, and AP Lang. For extracurriculars, I am in DECA, which I'm going to internationals for. I am also in key club. I plan to run for a DECA office in my school, as well as the state. I plan on becoming a member of FBLA and will be a member of NHS. I know that I need more extracuriculars but sports aren't really my thing. If you have any ideas that would be great.

Thanks

bump bump…

My best advice to you is to do your best, do what you love, and don’t obsess over UVA. You can do everything exactly right and still get turned down. You are too young to sweat it, live your life.

Thanks for the encouraging words. I know there are plenty of other options but UVA has an excellent School of Commerce so my goal would be to start moving in the right direction.
