The most recent SAT mid 50% numbers for Tech were 980 - 1200 for the combined Math + Critical Reading scores. If you fall in that range, you should be OK.

I would say you have a 99% chance of getting in with that SAT.

I don’t know if i got in , my app status says freshman comm review admit, does it mean i got in?

Unfortunately you won’t be auto-admitted. I’m estimating your SAT is around 1000 (for Math and Reading portions only), and even if you were in the top quarter of your class, your SAT wouldn’t be high enough for the 1140 cutoff for auto-admit. And with a 3.1 GPA, you’re most likely not in the top 10% of your class (which would be auto-admit to anywhere in Texas, of course).

Even with your SAT scores and GPA which are both well below average for Tech, you still have a shot. But my guess is that you’ll probably be offered the conditional admission program through one of their junior college partners. You can even live on campus at Tech while you do it. And if you get decent grades for a couple semesters at junior college, you’re in to Tech.

The bottom line is that you’ll have to work a LOT harder than you did in high school if you want to survive and thrive at Tech. And if you’re willing to do it, the door is open to you. If not, then the University isn’t going to want to waste their time on you. They don’t want students who are there just to party, barely crack a book, and hope to squeak by with D’s. That are plenty of other colleges in the state where you can do that. Tech gets their pick of among the best and brightest kids in the state who don’t get into the very competitive UT and A&M. Tech has high standards and they can afford to have them. If you’re serious about trying to raise your academic game, they will eventually make a place for you. But you’ll probably have to prove it to them first. Good luck.
