Getting into a closed class

How do you get into a class that is marked as closed. Specifically, I was thinking of possibly switching into math 295, and there's only one section that's marked as closed, and I was wondering how to get into it. I already went to orientation, and my schedule is math 215 (I couldn't get into 285), gt books, french 235, and orgo, and probably urop for 2 credits. Any advice, and would you suggest taking 295 with this schedule?

Email Ralf Spatzier, the honors advisor and professor who's going to teach the course, and ask for an override into 295.

yeah, spatzier is really helpful. anybody know how to get into 285 from 215 though? I want to be in duren's class (it's the only one that fits), but he doesn't check email or something.

Call (10 char)

it's okay to call a prof?

I'd email first...then call (kinda like a last resort). Don't come across as pushy.

It looks like Maguo has already emailed and received no response. And time is running out. Professors are just people. "Fortune favors the bold." Virgil, ancient Roman poet.

He's a nice guy, I don't think he'll mind.
