i'm new here. Im a jr in my high school. I want to attend a four year college for either Social work (MSW, or LCSW) or Child Phsycology. My overall gpa is only a 2.3 my grades arae B's & C's. I have reasons for my low scores, like : clinical depression, anxiety, hospital stays etc. Im just trying to get practical about what colleges are going to accept me, what are my chances of getting into a 4 year university? Thanks :)

Many four year colleges have non-competitive admission policies. However, have you considered going to a CC and transferring?

I could be wrong (you may have severe health/mental health problems), but I am fairly sure that the real reason your GPA is low is simply laziness. Until you accept that and start working hard, you won’t do any better in a community college (which means you can’t transfer out). Good luck.

Have you taken the ACT/SAT yet? If so you could apply for Alabama State U they have a slipping scale put in place where if you have a low GPA and a 800 on the SAT you still have a high chance of admission.
Other schools include:
Calvin University
University of Illinois at Chicago
University of North Texas
Hope College
Cal State Long Beach

Otherwise try a CC and then transfer. If you go to a CC in a city where there’s a UC many transfer to one of them after the two years as they have some sort of policy etc.

It seems like CC and then a transfer would be your best option. It seems that you have no ECs, your GPA is low and you are yet to take any standardized tests/practice tests which means you will only get a couple of shots at most to take them.

You have plenty of time. If you have mental health issues, and currently have them under control, better grades as a Junior will go a long way to demonstrate your readiness for college level work. You also have plenty of time for standardized tests. If you have already taken either the PSAT or PLAN you should have a sense of what your base score will be. I am not familiar with the PLAN but your PSAT score report tells you how you did on every question, so you can look back to see where you need work.

Obviously, you won’t be going to Harvard or Yale, but there are plenty of non-selective colleges that will accept you, if you work show you are a serious student, and have taken control of your life.

i do have EC, I have been dancing for 14 years, been an assistant dance teacher for 5 years, and am apart of a club at my school. I was hoping to not go to a CC and transfear, but if i have to then i do.
