Getting into App State?

I'm a senior girl with a 3.54 weighted gpa right now, after first semester grades come in it should be higher. My gpa was ruined junior year, I had to get a job and was working everyday after school and kind of had to neglect my school work. But I did pretty good freshman and most of sophomore year , and I'm doing good now considering I have two jobs now instead of one so I'm working twice as much. I got a 22 on my ACT sophomore year and I hadn't taken the SAT but I've taken both in the last week and feel really good about the SAT. I've gotten into Western Carolina for Art, but I know their standards are lower than those of Appalachian. Do I have any chance to get into Appalachian if I get a good SAT score and write a terrific personal essay/resume?

Bump. I need opinions please!

A 3.54 weighted is definitely a huge setback, but if you can explain the circumstances well in some terrific essays, you will probably be fine. Appalachian isn’t too hard to get into. Definitely raise your ACT score, or just submit your SAT if it’s pretty high. Good luck!

Thank you!
