<p>Hey I posted a thread just like this a few weeks ago but can you guys answer my question</p>
<p>Is the SAT so important as an admission factor in berkeley that scoring low in it would bring rejection at first glance. Does the other academic factors even matter.</p>
<p>I recently just got my SAT score. I scored 1520</p>
<p>CR: 540
Math: 500
W: 480
predicted Math 2c score: around 600's being realistic</p>
<p>High school GPA: 3.25
Weighted: 3.9</p>
<p>UC GPA: 4.0
Weighted: 4.25
Rank 25/522
California resident
Income: 60k</p>
<p>Good EC's
Good Awards(academically and athlethically)
Gone through personal harships(parents divorced and from extremelly poor family.
Fresman year grades were bad so grades are in an upward trend.
Beginning my sophmore year to senior year never got a "B"</p>
<p>Important Classes Taken
AP US history
AP Lang. & Comp.
Chemistry H
IB Biology SL
AP Calculus AB
AP Lit. & Comp.</p>
<p>Will be taking physics at a community college just for educational advancements</p>
<p>Gone through independent Study program took
Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus so I could advance to Calculus</p>
<p>What are my chances in all UC campuses
emphasizing in Berkeley
I want to major in civil engineering. In my case it would be hard, do you think it wise to declare another major when applying to berkeley then switching if ever I get accepted.</p>
