I’m a Wisconsin junior, almost done with the year. I have a 3.7 GPA. I took Econ with grade (A), AP English Language and Composition (A), Physics (B+), Jazz Choir (A), Transition to College Math ©, Volunteer with Literacy Crew (academically advanced upperclassmen who help underclassmen with class work, like Bio), Gym (B+), and Online Blended US History (A.) My extracurriculars are Global Solidarity Club, Anti-Bullying Club, volunteering at the library, volunteering at the church, and volunteering at the animal shelter. I’ll be starting a job at the Children’s Place over the summer and I might work at the library senior year as well. I got a 26 on my ACT. Senior year, I’m taking AP Literature, AP Environmental Science, AP Psychology, Pre-Calc, Model UN, Jazz Choir, Mixed Choir, Volunteer with Literacy Crew, and Free Period. I plan on continuing the extracurriculars I do and might work on a school newspaper that my friends and I will start senior year. I plan on writing great admission essays and doing an interview with the admissions office when I go visit. Is that C in math going to really hurt me? I want to major in English, so I don’t think it will make as much as an impact. This is my dream college. What are my chances? Thanks everyone!
I don’t do chances because, especially with LACs with a somewhat holisitic admissions process. who knows? However, if you want a much stronger chance of being accepted, consider applying Early Decision if Bryn Mawr is definitely your first choice college.
